Pink Cirrus Winter Sunset Panoramic
You have some amazing photographs here. Colorado does indeed have some beautiful clouds… Consider a trip to Cambodia; the clouds here will blow your mind.
Can I ask, what type of camera do you use? I am considering investing in a decent camera in the near future. My camera-guru friends ask me, well do you want to take nice portraits of people, or wildlife, or still life, or action shots, or what? And I say, Clouds. And they don’t seem to know what to tell me. What do you think?
Hi Lee! Thank you.
I have a Nikon D3100 with an 18-55mm lens. A large portion of my photos are taken at 18mm, and many of them are panoramic photos stitched together out of multiple individual shots.
I think you’d be fine with any decent DSLR, and a wide-angle lens. If you’re interested in checking out the panoramic stitching software I use, look at Hugin.
Hey there Kevin,
Just discovered your coclouds blog.. I’m an architect specialized in 3D for architecture.. I’d like to use this pic as a background for an image I’m working now.. Just read that would be cool to tell it to you.. so here I am. I’ll be using this pic for a sunset image.
You can see the kind of work I do in “cabistany.com” so maybe you get the idea.. Thanks a lot! You can contact me through my About area in my website 🙂
